About Dr Eddie Hai
I am a Hong Konger and have been practising Occupational Therapy for more than 15 years before switching to teaching. I am interested in the area of neurological rehabilitation and the application of assistive technology. My doctoral thesis examined the use of Repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (rTMS) to promote upper-limb functional recovery in patients with chronic stroke.
Teaching and supervision
I joined the University as an Occupational Therapy Lecturer and Clinical Link Tutor in 2023.
Prior to this, I taught occupational therapy at Hong Kong Polytechnic University for 10 years. The main areas I taught were clinical application of occupational therapy to medical and neurological specialities, assistive technology, and geriatric rehabilitation.
Interests
I am interested in quantitative clinical trials, particularly in the area of stroke rehabilitation. I am also developing my interest in learning and teaching research.
