About Evangeline Asidanya

I'm a Lecturer in CPD and International Nursing, with a passion for creating learning spaces where nurses feel seen, safe, and skilled to thrive.

My nursing journey started in Nigeria where I obtained a Diploma. Then, I moved to the UK, where I gained my BSc (Hons) and MSc in Nursing from the University of Sunderland. Clinically, I specialised in orthopaedics within the NHS, supporting patients through their full journey from admission to discharge and rehabilitation. That experience shaped how I teach: always connecting theory to the realities of the ward.

I later worked as a Practice Educator for Musculoskeletal department still in the NHS, acting as a cascade trainer for Basic Life Support and Moving and Handling, and supporting staff development across departments.

I hold a PgCert in Education from the University of Winchester and am a Fellow of Advance HE (FHEA). I'm also a qualified Professional Nurse Advocate, having completed the PNA Programme with the University of Lincoln.

I'm driven by lifelong learning and committed to enhancing nursing curricula through inclusion, co-production, and trauma-informed pedagogy because how we teach nurses directly shapes how they care.
