About Dr Fiona Larkin
I am an interdisciplinary artist with a practice that spans drawing, moving image, and text. I am interested in ideas of perspective shift, empathy, attention, and the possibility for alongsideness as a productive and creative structure.
In a recent commission for MIMA and the Women Artists of the North East Library, I developed a discreet installation and a publication in response to archival material.
Teaching and supervision
I teach BA (Hons) Fine Art.
Interests
My PhD examined ideas of tacit knowledge, embodied attention, and empathy. I am open to supervising visual art practice-led PhDs with a focus on these areas.
