About Jennifer Dent
I am Senior Lecturer, Registered Nurse and Registered Teacher with the Nursing Midwifery Council (NMC). I have been nursing for over 35 years with a diverse background to include working with the HM Forces, pharmaceutical industry, private sector and the NHS.
I have worked at the University since 2005, where I have been involved in the development and management of approved programmes and short courses leading to professional registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
I am a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (HEA).
Teaching and supervision
I am Programme Leader for the BSc (Hons) Registered Nurse Degree Apprenticeship.
The course uses integrated and interprofessional learning with all fields of nursing and allied healthcare professionals. All fields being taught and supported as a cohort, embrace the new NMC standards to use a holistic approach in developing skills and knowledge, further recognising the focus of holistic patient-centred care.
I also supervise undergraduate and postgraduate dissertations.
