John Taylor

I graduated from Newcastle University Medical School in 2016, before completing foundation training in Sunderland. I worked for 12 months as an Emergency Medicine Teaching Fellow in Newcastle, then spent a year working in New Zealand.

Having joined the British Army as a reservist in 2015, I gained my regular commission in 2020, spending three years as a General Duties Medical Officer. I am a member of the University's Armed Forces Community.

I am now a speciality trainee doctor in emergency medicine in the north of England, alongside my part-time role at the University. My role at the University comprises the development and delivery of interprofessional educational opportunities for medical students, alongside colleagues from a variety of professional courses.
