About Dr Julia Janfeshar Nobari
I joined the University in 2014. I am Programme Leader for MSc Finance and Management.
I obtained my ESRC-CASE studentship PhD, "Accountability and social impact measurement for a third sector supported housing organisation," from Newcastle University, and my broad interest is in social and environmental accounting.
Prior to joining the University, I was a teaching associate at Newcastle University Business School.
Before joining academia, I held several professional positions as an accountant and auditor for different companies in the UK and at several Middle Eastern firms. I have also been closely involved in diverse and multicultural organisations in the north-east and London. My work in the different organisations was based on community engagement, organising, delivering, and monitoring activities, as well as being a member of the Trustees and managing the finances of their projects.
