About Kathryn Leonard
I graduated from Keele University in 1991 with an honours degree in Psychology and Music and completed my PGCE at the University of East Anglia the following year.
With over 30 years of experience as a primary school teacher (including 10 as a head teacher), I joined the University in 2015 as a specialist in primary science education.
Teaching and supervision
I am responsible for supporting first-year undergraduate students on our BA (Hons) Initial Teacher Training (ITT) course. In addition, I teach a range of ITT courses including BA, PGCE, and PGCE School Direct.
My role at the University allows me the privilege of supporting trainees during their school experiences. My teaching commitment covers a range of subjects including science, design and technology, music, and professional studies.
I am currently subject leader for primary science and music.
