About Dr Nicola Davinson
I am Chartered Occupational Psychologist with the British Psychological Society and Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
My research interests include health and wellbeing in the workplace, workspace design, and health behaviour change initiatives.
Teaching and supervision
I teach several undergraduate and postgraduate modules, mainly focused on my expertise in occupational psychology, behaviour change, and social psychology. I am module leader for:
- PSY247 Everyday Motivations and Biases (Level 5)
- PSY373 Health Psychology and Behaviour Change (Level 6)
- PSY335 Occupational Psychology (Level 6)
- PSYM66 Everyday Motivations and Biases (Level 7)
- PSYM98 Organisational Psychology (Level 7)
I also supervise PhD students, as well as undergraduate and postgraduate student research projects.
Interests
I am interested in supervising research students in all areas of occupational psychology and also in the application of behaviour change paradigms to health-related behaviours.
Research
My research has focused on the application of behaviour change techniques to promote more positive behaviours across several domains (e.g., health, environmental, or online behaviours).
I also conduct research and consultancy projects in the area of occupational psychology, such as evaluations, recruitment and selection strategies, health and wellbeing assessments, and promoting health and wellbeing in the workplace.
