Interests
Health inequalities: I am interested in understanding how social, economic, and environmental factors contribute to inequalities in health outcomes across different populations and communities. Broadly, my interests include exploring disparities in access to healthcare, the impact of deprivation on physical and mental wellbeing, and the ways in which structural inequalities shape lived health experiences.
Local health issues: I am particularly interested in investigating health challenges affecting local communities and how place-based factors influence health and wellbeing. My interests include examining community-specific health concerns, barriers to accessing support and services, and opportunities for improving public health through locally informed interventions and policy.
Community-based research approaches: I am interested in research that works collaboratively with communities to address health-related issues and improve outcomes. My interests include participatory and co-produced research approaches, engaging with underserved populations, and ensuring that community voices and experiences are central to the research process and development of interventions.

My work is guided primarily by qualitative methodologies, with a focus on capturing community perspectives and lived experiences in meaningful and context-sensitive ways.
My current areas of research include:
- Socioeconomic and area-based health inequalities
- Local and community health issues
- Qualitative research methodologies
- Community-based and participatory research approaches
