About Scott Goodacre
I'm a qualified teacher and experienced marketer who has worked in the digital industry since 2006. I'm a Senior Examiner for the Chartered Institute of Marketing as well as one of their apprenticeship assessors. I have worked as a Marketing Manager in a leading sixth form college as well as in housing, and am also a head of curriculum for a nationwide marketing apprenticeship provider. I have my own portfolio of clients which includes NHS trusts and football teams from around Europe, as well as small to medium sized businesses in the UK.
Teaching and supervision
I've been teaching since 2009 when I was asked to contribute to a Masters programme at the university. I then completed a PGCE in Post-compulsory Education in 2011. I have taught A level subjects as well as apprenticeships at levels 3, 4, and 6. I am also an experienced assessor.
Interests
I have an interest in all areas of marketing. I also work with football teams across the UK and Europe to help improve their content strategies and fan engagement. My work in the UK mainly concerns small businesses, usually local to the north east, to help them identify their target markets and how to promote their products and services.
I am an experienced web developer and have been building websites since 2006. I have worked with a variety of businesses of all sizes on their websites over my career, including sixth form colleges, bakeries, clothing retailers, and independent consultants.
Areas of expertise
I work in the marketing industry. My interests are in how businesses can use digital strategies to engage with customers, particularly social media and email. I also work in sports marketing and consult with clubs across the UK and Europe.
