About Susan Gault

I am a Senior Lecturer in Pharmacy Practice in the School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences. I graduated with an MPharm degree from Aston University in 2009 before moving to the north-east and undertaking my pre-registration year with Boots in Blaydon.

After 10 years as a community pharmacist working for Boots across the region, I transitioned into an internal training role. I worked on Boots' training programmes supporting trainee pharmacists and newly qualified pharmacists helping them settle into their new roles. I also delivered services training including vaccination training. During this time I started at the University of Sunderland as a Teacher Practitioner supporting the OSPAP.

In 2022, I made the transition to academia full-time, joining the University of Sunderland as a permanent member of staff.

I am currently module leader of the first year module – PHA113, An Introduction to the Professional Practice of Pharmacy.
