About Dr Tim Chan
I graduated from The University of Liverpool in 2012 and completed my Foundation Programme training in 2014. In 2020, I moved to the North East and joined the South Tyneside Career Start Scheme where I worked one day a week at Sunderland University. In 2022, I joined the School of Medicine in a substantive role and am now the Lead for Phase 3 GP Placements and the GP Patch Lead for Northumbria and Out of Area Practices. I work part-time as a GP in Newcastle and am involved with teaching undergraduate medical students in practice.
Areas of expertise
I have recently completed my Masters in Medical Education and am interested in Professional Identity Formation in medical students and Clinical Reasoning.
