Alexander Taylor
BA (Hons) Business and Events Management

"Before going to university, I was working as a medical receptionist, which offered little in terms of career development. I found myself wanting a job I enjoyed that offered both career progression and personal development. I thought long and hard about what I enjoyed and ended up choosing BA (Hons) Events Management, which aligned well with my personal interests.
My favourite part of the course would have to be the Events Fieldwork module, which consisted of a research trip to New York City. Being able to combine research with a trip to one of the world’s most iconic cities really was an amazing opportunity.
Following graduation, I started a temporary position as Events Administrator at Isuzu UK, and within three months, I was made a permanent member of staff and progressed to Events Coordinator. I've since been promoted to my current position as Events and PR Executive. I've managed a range of national events for the company, from conferences to incentive trips, and several vehicle launches attended by major press publications.
My days at the University of Sunderland were varied, and I look back on them fondly. The environment was fun and welcoming while the tutors were warm, knowledgeable, and supportive."
