Licensing and spin-out companies

Our academics consistently develop groundbreaking ideas protected by intellectual property, creating valuable licensing opportunities. These innovations often lead to spin-out companies, and we actively support their growth and success.

For example, Sundara Pharmaceuticals was founded in October 2018, emerging from the pioneering research of Professor Roz Anderson. Her work focused on improving the delivery of Cysteamine, a toxic drug used to manage Cystinosis.
