What to expect
Students can explore their preferred subject area choosing from over 20 subject-specific demonstrations and tour our state-of-the-art facilities. We’ll also have some extra-curricular activities available for students to get involved with, to help give them a taste of student-life.
Our experienced academics and current students will be on hand to provide valuable insights and answer any questions you or your students may have. You can also get guidance on student finance, student accommodation, and scholarships and bursaries from our support services.
Our Open Day will be split into two sessions, offering flexibility to accommodate your timetables. Choose between morning or afternoon sessions:
- Morning session – 9:30am – 12:15pm
- Afternoon session – 12:15pm – 3pm
Morning Session
Our morning visit will run from 9:30am to 12:15pm.
- Arrival – 9:30am to 9:45am
Check-in, collect a programme, and find out more about the day. On registration students will be allocated a group and provided with a programme for the day. - Welcome Talk – 9:45am to 10:15am
This session will allow everyone to meet our friendly Student Recruitment team, learn more about studying at university, and ask any questions. Please note, all visitors should attend this session. - Subject Demos – 10:15am to 12:15pm
Our subject demonstrations will allow students to take part in interactive demos across a range of subjects. Students can choose the subject areas they are most interested in and will have time throughout the day to access these. They’ll also have the opportunity to speak to academic staff about our courses. - Marketplace – 10:15am to 12:15pm
Students can visit our marketplace and explore our range of extracurricular activities, and can get more information about our support services in this fun and dynamic space. We’ll also be offering tours of our facilities at City Campus.
We recommend students wear comfortable clothing to take part in activities.

Our afternoon visit will run from 12:15pm to 3pm
