Local agents and representatives
If you’re applying from outside the UK, our local representatives are available to assist with your application and answer any questions about studying here. You can use our search tool to find and contact your nearest agent.
Find an agentYou can also find advice on selecting an agent, including key questions to ask, in the British Council’s guide to choosing an education agent(opens in new tab).
Our official representatives (agents) are contracted to support qualified prospective students to:
- Choose a course
- Submit an application
- Find accommodation
- Apply for a visa as appropriate to the prospective student’s circumstances.
If you enrol with us, we pay the education agent a commission/fee. You can choose to use other education agents if you wish. However, we spend resources training and helping these education agents to offer the best possible service. We strongly encourage you to only use one of our official education agents listed here.
We welcome feedback from students about the education advisors or agents who've supported their applications. Please complete our Agent Experience Feedback Form(opens in new tab) to share your experience. Please note, feedback should only be submitted directly by the applicant.
