Do I need a visa?

You can check if you need a Student visa to study in the UK by using the online tool on the Government website(opens in new tab). You'll be able to apply for this once we've issued Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) and you hold an unconditional offer.

If you're an EU national and unsure about visa requirements, make sure to read the provided guidance on the Government website(opens in new tab).

If you're in the UK as a dependant on someone else's visa and aren't sure whether you need CAS, please get in touch with us – we're here to help.

Types of visa

If you're planning to study in the UK and require a visa, the Student visa is the primary route. However, there are several other visa options that may be relevant after graduation. Here's a breakdown of the key types.
