We offer a wide selection of scholarships and bursaries that you could be eligible for to help you financially throughout your studies. Both can help cover the cost of student life, and they don't need to be repaid.

What are scholarships and bursaries?

What is a scholarship?

We award scholarships for excellence or achievement in a specific field. This may include good grades in a subject area, performing at a high level in sport, or demonstrating particular values.

What is a bursary?

A bursary is awarded based on your personal circumstances or background. This includes your postcode area, household income, if you're care-experienced, and more.

This is a guide to help you discover which scholarships and bursaries you could be eligible for. It's for new, Home (UK) students considering a full-time undergraduate course at the University.

You'll complete a series of questions about your background, where you live, and your household income. Based on the answers you provide, you'll gain an idea of the financial support that could be available to you. Please note that this isn't a confirmation or guarantee of funding, just a guide.

As the cost of living increases for students, a scholarship or bursary could help support you financially while you study.

Whatever you’re eligible for, it’s important to remember that, unlike a student loan from the Student Loans Company, any scholarship or bursary you receive doesn’t need to be paid back.
