Course summary

The aim of this short course is to recognise, give academic credit for and promote Continuing Professional Development (CPD).

This course will enable any healthcare professional to utilise their own clinical experience, to gain academic credit and development at Level 6.

What You'll Study

The course enables acknowledgement of CPD through description, contextualisation and rationalisation of learning achievements. You'll be an independent learner and will identify your individual learning objectives with guidance and negotiation through tutorials with the module leader.

How you'll learn

This course will be taught online. You will participate in a two hour induction session which will include discussion of the module and a library session. There will also be two tutorials with the programme leader. The rest of the course is work-based and practice-based learning.

You will be required to complete a portfolio of practice (3000 words) for your assessment.
