Course summary

This masterclass provides you with the opportunity to explore your strengths in the context of informal and formal leadership in the workplace to raise awareness of your leadership potential.

You'll explore and evaluate your individual qualities and attributes, focusing on the qualities of a leader, and how these inform individual behaviour and effectiveness, applying what is learned in the 'classroom' to the work context. It will help you to understand what makes you effective as a leader and use what you learn to enhance that effectiveness, to benefit you and your organisation.

This course is suitable for anyone new to leadership roles or those who are not currently occupying a formal leadership position but are considering doing so in the future. It's aimed at people from private, public, and third-sector organisations, business owners, managers, or people from an organisation who are interested in developing their leadership effectiveness.

How you'll learn

This course is delivered both in-person on campus and via self-managed online learning.

Students wishing to study via self-managed online learning can enrol anytime and have four weeks from enrolment to complete the learning. They will have access to our academic tutor throughout for support and questions.

This course has no formal accreditation or assessment, although you'll be asked to reflect on your experience, providing evidence of the impact of the course, with a consideration of how this might inform your future development.
