Course summary

Shoot, Edit, Share is a practical, hands-on course that empowers participants to create effective short-form video content using mobile phones. The course is taught by media professionals with mobile journalism and digital storytelling expertise. Our tutors have worked for Sky, Guardian, Telegraph, Yorkshire Post and Woman & Home magazine, as well as producing marketing and communications videos for Health England, NHS Cumbria, international technology companies and national nutrition brands.

What you'll study

Our course offers:

  • Delivered training to small businesses and organisations across the north-east
  • Focus on low-cost, high-impact production using tools staff already have
  • Covers both content creation and strategic publishing/analytics
  • Hands-on and platform-specific with direct real-world application.

How you'll learn

The morning of the session will cover planning, mobile filming skills and shareable content. The afternoon of the session will cover editing, publishing strategies, and audience engagement metrics.
