The course covers the anatomy and physiology of cell biology and cancer, exploring how it develops in the body. This is the only course of its kind in the north which is face-to-face.
This short course is designed for nursing staff and allied health professionals who are caring for patients undergoing systemic anticancer treatment (SACT/chemotherapy).

The course covers the anatomy and physiology of cell biology and cancer, exploring how it develops in the body. This is the only course of its kind in the north which is face-to-face.
The course will examine and explore many of the anti-cancer treatments available to patients, their uses and side effects, including cytotoxic chemotherapy, monoclonal antibodies, and targeted therapy. It will also include a wider exploration of holistic care and the impact of these treatments on the patients and their families.
This is an eight-week course, taught on campus by a mixture of university lecturers and healthcare professionals working in oncology and associated areas across the region.
