Induction timetable
During your induction, you may have a variety of on-campus, off-campus and online classes:
- On-campus - You'll get the campus, building and room number.
- Off-campus - You'll be given the address and postcode of the session, including any important instructions. For example, in some cases, you may have a field trip within welcome week.
- Online - You'll be given a link to the online session, along with any specific instructions on how to engage online. The majority of online events will be held through Canvas, our virtual learning environment.
Once you’ve completed your online enrolment, your induction timetable will be available through the What Next? Checklist on e:Vision. You'll be able to see a ‘View my induction timetable’ option with details on where and when each of your sessions will be held, along with a description and any further information.
If your induction timetable isn’t available yet, your course leader may still be finalising it. Check your What Next? Checklist for who to contact, and we'll email you once your timetable is ready.
Sometimes your course leader will make some last-minute adjustments to your induction timetable. We recommend that you access your it online and that you don't save a copy. This will ensure that you're viewing the latest version and will save you from missing any important sessions.
Academic timetable
Once your induction timetable finishes, you will need to access your academic timetable through the My Timetable portal, which you will log in to using your University User ID and password. The "My timetable" is what you will use to access your tailored timetable.
Commonly, this will be made available to you within your induction week, although you may have access to the portal before the timetable is available - this is normal.
