Our Nursing and Midwifery students are mainly based at City Campus where you can make the most of our state-of-the-art healthcare facilities.

NHS Learning Support Fund

If you're studying an eligible nursing or midwifery course, you could receive extra financial support through the NHS Learning Support Fund. This includes a non-repayable grant of £5,000 per year for home students, with up to £3,000 more available depending on your circumstances.

Placements

Clinical placements give you a chance to build your skills and get a real feel for life as a nurse or midwife. They support your learning by helping you adjust to professional settings. Throughout your course, you’ll complete unpaid placements in hospitals and the community, covering areas like acute care, surgery, cardiology, and more. These placements may take place in diverse settings – from hospitals and schools to prisons and hospices.
