Course summary
This course develops advanced skills in electronic and electrical engineering. You’ll gain practical experience using our state-of-the-art facilities, applying project-oriented and design-based learning techniques to solve real problems. The course also explores sustainable solutions to the technological challenges faced by modern society.

- Automation, control, and instrumentation
You’ll learn from academics with industry knowledge, who enhance teaching and support through design-based learning and assessment in pioneering engineering facilities.
As part of your studies, you’re encouraged to apply for one year placement between your second and final year. Past students have secured paid placements with leading companies such as Jaguar, Nissan, GlaxoSmithKline, Delphi Powertrain Systems, and Sellafield Nuclear Power Station.
