About Dr Cheng Shu Chaw
I teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses in pharmaceutical sciences. My main research focuses on pharmaceutics, pharmaceutical powder formulations and their characterisation.

I teach on the following courses in the area of pharmaceutics, formulation design and drug delivery systems:

I am module leader for PBFM13 and I'm currently co-supervising two PhD students.
Interests
- Formulation of oral solid dosage forms, including pelletization via extrusion and spheronization, and film coating
- Production of micro-/nano-size particles or vesicles for small drug and macromolecules
Research
- Multiple unit dosage forms and Pelletization by extrusion and spheronization
- Vesicles preparations such as drug loaded niosomes, self emulsifying system
- Modified release hydrocolloid matrix systems for oral delivery
- Biodegradable micro and nanoparticles for drug delivery
