About Dr Osarumen Ogbomo
I am a Mechanical Engineer, Senior Lecturer, and Researcher, with over 10 years of experience in academia.
My PhD, from the University of Wolverhampton, focused on the Thermo-mechanical Reliability of Photovoltaic (PV) Modules in Elevated Temperature Climates, and findings have been extensively published and cited in high-impact journals.
Since joining the University in 2021, my roles have included module leader, personal academic tutor, and research supervisor to numerous BEng, MSc, and PhD students.
Currently, I am Programme Leader for MSc Sustainable Design and Manufacture , where students actively contribute to the sustainable future of our planet. They develop advanced engineering skills, scrutinise the impact of current design techniques on manufacturers, the environment, and society, while displaying professional attitudes and entrepreneurship proficiency. I am also Programme leader for MSc Advanced Engineering Design, MSc Project Management and Applied Project Management.
