About Samantha Cuthbert
I began working as a PAT for both the international PGCE and PGCert (SCITT). I have also taken on the role of Assistant Module Leader for the EDP 381 module for the PGCE.
I have over 10 years of teaching experience across schools in the UK and internationally. I qualified in the UK through the GTP route and gained full QTS status.
After completing my NQT year and subsequent teaching in the UK, I began my international travels in Dubai as a Primary Class Teacher. Following this, I moved to Cairo, where I took my first steps into Senior Leadership. Across my seven years in Cairo, I held numerous positions in leadership, with my final one being Assistant Head of Primary within a British International School. While working in Cairo, I was a school-based mentor for PGCE trainees enrolled at both University of Sunderland and University of Nottingham.
As part of my continued professional development, I am a BSO Inspector with PENTA International and hold a master's in Educational Leadership and Management. Other supporting professional development includes Coaching and Mentoring and Designated Safeguarding Lead.
I'm looking forward to welcoming new trainees this year and helping to support the next generation of teachers to provide high-quality education around the world.
