Each Faculty is made up of distinct schools and areas of research. The faculty structure enables high-quality teaching by gathering together academic expertise, and also encourages interdisciplinary research across faculties.

The Faculty of Arts and Creative Industries is where creativity comes to life and imagination becomes reality. Our courses range from Arts, Design and Performance, to Film, Media, English and Journalism.

The Faculty of Business, Law and Tourism is home to Sunderland Business School and Sunderland Law School, with key areas of teaching including business and management, hospitality and events, aviation and tourism, and law.

Faculty of Technology

The Faculty of Technology brings together the School of Computer Science and the School of Engineering (which includes Automotive and Manufacturing Advanced Practice (AMAP)) across a spectrum of subjects and disciplines aligned to the technological needs and requirements of today. Our key areas of teaching cover a wide variety of subjects aligned to computer science and engineering.
