Alison joined the University in 1991, during the transition from Polytechnic to University. She has over 30 years of experience in facilities management in her role as Facilities Support Manager. Throughout her career, she has worked closely with people, departments, and events across the University, ensuring the smooth delivery of essential services that support the academic and student experience.
In addition to her university role, Alison serves on the Executive Committee of BACHEFM (British Association of Cleaning in Higher Education Facilities Management), contributing to national conversations on best practice, innovative, and professional standards in the sector.
Alison was appointed to the Board as Professional Services Staff Representative in 2025 and is a member of the People and Remuneration Committee.
