Senior Lecturer in Clinical Pharmacy Practice

I joined the University in 2022 as a Lecturer in Clinical Pharmacy Practice after graduating from the MPharm course here myself in 2018.

My background of practice includes both community and hospital pharmacy. I undertook my prescribing qualification in Rheumatology at Sunderland Royal Hospital and I continue to work at the Trust one day a week as a specialist in this area.

I am the Admissions Tutor for MPharm and I'm also heavily involved in organising outreach and applicant events for schools and colleges for pharmacy students of the future.

Teaching and supervision

I teach several therapeutic areas at level three including rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, and law and ethics.

I also teach elements of equality, diversity and inclusion topics throughout all four levels of the degree.

Research interests for potential research students

  • Pharmacy practice
  • Rheumatoid arthritis
  • Transgender healthcare
