Senior Lecturer in Clinical Pharmacy
I qualified as a Pharmacist in 2011 and since then have worked in secondary care as a clinical pharmacist. I am an independent prescriber and have a specialist interest in gastroenterology. Before moving to the University of Sunderland, I spent 12 months as the Medication Safety Officer (MSO) at County Durham and Darlington NHS Trust.
I continue to spend one day a week in clinical practice as an independent prescriber at County Durham and Darlington NHS Trust. The rest of my time is spent contributing to both the undergraduate and postgraduate pharmacy courses.
Teaching and supervision
I am module lead for PHMM62 Patient Safety. I also teach clinical pharmacy across MPharm, MSc Clinical Pharmacy and Independent Prescribing.
