Senior Lecturer in Pharmaceutical Chemistry
I started teaching at the University in 2017, having previously graduated with a BSc (Hons) in Chemical and Pharmaceutical Science and a PhD in Bioanalytical Chemistry. I am also a Chartered Chemist (CChem) and Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA).
My doctoral research involved targeted thiol detection and metabolic profiling in prostate cancer cell models using UHPLC-QToF-MS and NMR in conjunction with chemometrics. My current research interests include analysis of medicines, chemical profiling, and science outreach.
I coordinate chemistry outreach events and competitions with local schools and colleges, and work closely with the Royal Society of Chemistry Local Section as a committee member and past chair.

Teaching and supervision
I teach aspects of pharmaceutical, physical, and analytical chemistry across MPharm Pharmacy, BSc Biopharmaceutical Science, BSc Cosmetic Science, and MSc Drug Discovery and Development.
I am the module leader for PHA114 and CSCM02.
