Senior Lecturer and Programme Lead – Podiatry

I am an experienced podiatrist with a passion for providing quality care to patients. I have a strong background in both the NHS and private practice, with over seven years of experience as a lecturer and programme lead.

I am currently the Programme Leader for the podiatry apprenticeship. I am responsible for developing and delivering the apprenticeship programme, as well as providing support and guidance to apprentices.

I am committed to providing high-quality education and training to the next generation of podiatrists. I am a passionate advocate for the podiatry profession, and I am dedicated to helping apprentices reach their full potential.

I am eager to contribute my knowledge and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of healthcare education.

Teaching and supervision

As a passionate podiatry educator, I have a comprehensive understanding of foot and ankle care, encompassing clinical practice, physiology, medicine, prescription-only medicines, and musculoskeletal issues. My teaching philosophy centres on fostering a deep-rooted knowledge of podiatric principles, coupled with hands-on clinical exposure, to empower students to become competent, compassionate podiatrists.

Research interests for potential research students

I have a keen interest in research, specifically into the advancements of podiatric surgery, the intricacies of forensic podiatry, and the implementation of evidence-based care, with a view to enhancing patient outcomes and broadening the scope of podiatric practice.
