Honorary Lecturer in Tissue Viability

I have been a qualified Registered Nurse since 1995 and have worked in specialities including surgical nursing clinical trials and safeguarding. For the past 20 years I have specialised in tissue viability, which included caring for patients with complex wounds, education programmes and leading the service. I have worked extensively in primary and secondary care

My main clinical focus is the care of people with wounds, and preventing pressure ulcers.

I am also a freelance author and have written for nursing journals.



Teaching and supervision

I am an Honorary Lecturer on the Tissue Viability course for postgraduates.


Research interests for potential research students

My interests lie with supporting people with wounds and also supporting carers and family of people with these conditions.

I have a specialist interest in training and education for staff in relation to caring for patients with complex wounds
