Senior Lecturer in Biomechanics and Performance Analysis

I hold a BSc and PhD in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Chartered Engineer. I taught Engineering, Computing and Sports Science at the University of Sunderland, in two periods, between working in industry and for the Open University in an Assistant Director role.

I have a keen interest in sport, in particular, triathlon (swimming, cycling and running). As well as a competitor, I'm also a qualified Referee, Coach (Level 3) and Coach Tutor for Triathlon England.

I recently developed blended learning materials on using the statistical programming language R and in particular the package Deducer for graphical and statistical analysis.
