Scholarships and discount
The Academic Excellence Scholarship is an exciting free accommodation scholarship for students who are applying from overseas to study with us at the University of Sunderland. This is a fantastic opportunity to save over £3,000 in living costs. Applicants from overseas will be automatically considered for the award if they meet the eligibility criteria set out below.
Who is eligible?
In order to be eligible for the excellence award, you must meet the following criteria:
- Full fees must be paid upfront by 19th July 2022 (For Semester one courses starting in September and October 2022) and 20th December 2022 (Semester two courses starting in January and February 2023)
- Must be making an application from overseas (non-EU)
- Must meet all conditions outlined in your offer letter
- Academic performance equivalent to 2:1 degree for postgraduate or UCAS tariff 320 points undergraduate
Limited places are offered on a first come, first served basis, and remain at the discretion of the University
Free English for Academic Purposes (EAP)
Applicants from East Asia who pay fees for Undergraduate or Postgraduate courses upfront by 30th June 2022 (Semester 1) or 20th December (Semester 2) are eligible for a bursary following completion of the English for Academic Purposes (EAP) course. Terms and conditions apply.
