The Faculty of Technology is thrilled to open its doors to aspiring young minds who are ready to embark on an exciting journey into the world of computer science. This event is open to Year 13 students who are considering their next steps beyond college or sixth form and see a future in this field. The day is designed to illuminate the path ahead, offering a showcase of the dynamic undergraduate courses we have on offer. Through a series of captivating and interactive workshops participants will have the opportunity to delve into the realms of programming, game development, cybersecurity and digital forensics.
All students will take part in three different interactive workshops that will showcase the courses we offer within the School of Computer Science
Computer Science: workshop TBC
Game Development: Cannon Fodder - Learn the basics of Unity development and C# programming in this intense session where students will code a 3D cannon to launch balls, crash test dummies and even other cannons! Have them fly through the air, smashing through breakable boxes and tallying points.
