‘Emotional Well-being in the Early Years’ - a joint Conference hosted by University of Sunderland and Early Education Sunderland branch.

Attendees will be welcomed by Kay Rooks, Chair of the Sunderland Early Education branch, and Associate for Early Education and Director of three private nurseries. Kay will launch the event by introducing the Key Note Speaker Peter Toolan. Peter is a Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychotherapist and will focus his address on the conference theme of wellbeing.

Following the keynote attendees will be able to choose and attend one of two presentations.

A recess has been timetabled following the keynote and the presentations for attendees to enjoy a refreshment break before attending the Keynote Workshop lead by Richard O'Neill. Richard is a multi-award winning, Storyteller, children's Author and workshop leader.

To draw the conference to a close all presenters will convene as a panel, taking questions from attendees. Questions can be emailed in advance to julie.ovington@sunderland.ac.uk
