Public Lecture Series: Lord David Puttnam - Private Lives and Public Trust

Home / Events / Event
David Puttnam

Lord David Puttnam, Oscar-winning film producer and peer, considers the challenge of rebuilding trust in society following the rise of fake news and the emergence of independent bodies called on to fact check politicians and policy makers.

The man behind cinematic hits such as Chariots of Fire and This Mission will draw on his research and conclusions as chair of the Lords committee on Democracy and Digital Technology which reported in the summer.

Lord Puttnam will conclude his talk with an informal Q&A session.

This is a University of Sunderland free online public lecture, hosted by our Vice-Chancellor, Sir David Bell. The event is open to all.
