Year 13 students and their teachers are invited to join us for a day of interactive workshops and an introduction to studying Business at University.
Interactive taster sessions on offer on the day include:
Can you Sell?
Students can put their sales techniques to the test using the powers of persuasion, whether it's mastering the art of selling something mundane like a pen or magical like a unicorn. You will discover how to effectively sell yourself, your ideas, and your products, exploring the power of marketing and how it drives success in many careers.
Juggling Hats
This engaging workshop aims to revolutionise approaches to problem-solving, inspired by the renowned Edward de Bono’s model “Six Thinking Hats”. This session will expand your critical thinking skills within the context of human resource management and offer you an opportunity to dive into the world of questioning techniques.
Risky Business
Within this interactive session, you'll have the opportunity to make a range of financial investments, drawing upon key risk and return characteristics drawn from a range of companies.
The Beat Goes On: Tomorrowland’s Post-Covid Future
This session will discuss the evolution and success of Tomorrowland, one of the world's premier electronic music festivals, founded in 2005 in Boom, Belgium. We'll navigate the festival's post-Covid challenges, from accessibility and sustainability to financial implications.
You'll assume the role of consultants to strategise for Tomorrowland's continuous growth and collaboratively brainstorm ideas on diversifying line-ups, pinpointing potential partners, and maximising global reach through digital platforms.
