To celebrate Pride month we are running an event for school groups to get a taster of the CineClub experience our students love.
CineClub is a big part of university life for students studying Film and Media courses. It started over 25 years ago and has evolved over the years to become an open space to watch and discuss films that reflect different genres and themes – for the love of film. CineClub is a democratic club where any member – staff or student – can suggest and present a film.
In this one-off edition of CineClub attendees will watch and discuss the hit Netflix series ‘Heartstopper’, take part in mini-lectures about the themes in the show, and analyse the impact of the series on young people with a connection to the LGBTQ+ community.
