Topic - Open Events, Schools and Colleges

Join us for our Open Evening to explore the University's fantastic campus, find out more about our Psychology degrees and chat to our current students and staff.

As well as having the opportunity to find out more about our Psychology degrees, you'll also be able to take part in an engaging taster session: Mating Games, Male Competition and the appeal of Andrew Tate.

Andrew Tate is a controversial yet popular influencer of young men. Despite being involved in a criminal investigation and controversial culture wars, his popularity continues to grow. In this talk, we will explore the evolution of male mating and competitive behaviours, changes to the modern dating environment, and how these interact with the online world to explain why some young men find Andrew Tate's message appealing.

At this event you’ll also be able to find out about:

  • Student Finance
  • University of Sunderland Scholarships and Bursaries
  • Admissions and the application process
  • Student support, including wellbeing and disability support

Take that first life changing step by signing up to our open evening and find out what the University of Sunderland has to offer.
