What happens when I apply?

Home / Help and advice / Info for international students / Your application and offer / What happens when I apply?

When UCAS receives your application for an undergraduate course, it will be passed on to our Admissions department.

UCAS will send you a UCAS ID number, which you can use to track the progress of your application on the UCAS website.

The University of Sunderland will decide whether or not to offer you a place.

If you are successful, you will receive a conditional offer. You will need to meet certain conditions in order to convert this to an unconditional offer. To obtain a Student visa, you need an unconditional offer.

As an international student you will also be required to fill in an immigration history form as part of the application process. By completing the online form and selecting the 'submit' button at the end, your immigration history information will be sent to our Admissions team.
