What happens when I apply?

Home / Help and advice / Info for international students / Your application and offer / What happens when I apply?

Once you have made your application you will receive an application reference number.

The University of Sunderland will decide whether or not to offer you a place.

If you are successful, you will receive a conditional offer. Your offer letter will contain details of the conditions that you need to fulfil. Once you have fulfilled these conditions and have passed any immigration compliance requirements you will then be issued with a Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies which you can then use to apply for your visa. To obtain a Student visa, you need an unconditional offer.
