Case Study

Alan Tree

Teaching Development Coordinator

I joined the University of Sunderland in 2010 as the Academic Development Officer (Collaborative). My role includes supporting teaching staff delivering University programmes in our collaborative partners and supporting the University’s academic staff in our three locations.

I visit local FE and TNE partners to provide staff CPD sessions and maintain specific resources for each partner on our MySunderland platform. I also design, develop and deliver courses and programmes for staff development on our Sunderland and London campuses including the ‘Preparing To Teach’ course for new academic staff.

In addition to a BA (Hons) in Environmental Science I have a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (Qualified Teacher Status) and a Masters in Education.
