Despite the use of bystander training in universities in the UK, very little is known about what works in such training. Our article, by Dr Nicola Roberts and Heaven Marsh, ‘A qualitative evaluation of bystander training: What works?’ shows what works. Published with Wiley Open Access here: https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1111/hojo.12487, it shows that interactive techniques – group discussions, ‘the video’, and the use of real-world examples were the best ways of delivering the training. This was because they stood out and were remembered by participants. These findings are important for the design and delivery of future bystander training.
