The Exercise, Sport & Rehabilitative Therapies team have recently formed a link with the International Network of Sport & Health Science to develop collaborative research with partners around the world.

The International Network of Sport & Health Science (INSHS) is a membership-based digital hub to enhance academic internationalisation to create bridges between academics to support research. Its main goal is to support international (European and non- European) cooperation in the field of sport science (kinesiology) and health science and also in University sport. INSHS works as an accelerator of internationalization among its member institutions and other sport, sports science-related professional organizations.

In forming a link with INSHS, the members of the Exercise, Sport & Rehabilitative Therapies team are actively involved in a series of research projects alongside colleagues and researchers from countries including Slovakia, Serbia, Lithuania, Colombia, France, and South Africa. This includes leading on projects in the areas of Postural effects of clothing and equipment in occupational settings (e.g. Police, Military); RED-S – Energy availability as a criterion of health diagnostics; and Perimenopausal and menopausal women and physical activity patterns.
