Five reasons to attend an Open Day
We offer campus tours led by one of our friendly Student Ambassadors who'll be able to give you a real insight into life at university. Some subject talks will be followed by facilities tours.
If you’re planning to move away from home, you’ll want to see our student accommodation. We provide detailed tours to Panns Bank and Scotia Quay, which are closer to the Sir Tom Cowie Campus, with riverside views available.
Find out more about what student finance you could be eligible for, including some of our scholarships and bursaries. We run talks covering everything you need to know, and at our Student Finance stand, you can talk to our experts and ask any questions you might have.
Coming to an Open Day is also a chance to explore our city, as it could soon be home. Take some time to walk around Mowbray Park or along the beach, or grab a bite to eat at one of the many cafés and restaurants. You'll soon see why our students love it here so much!
We know that the idea of going to university can be daunting, with common anxieties including assignment writing and referencing, and 'keeping up’ in classes. We'll have plenty of staff on hand who'll reassure you that you can do it.
Our academics can tell you about the modules you’ll study and what to expect assignment-wise. They’ll also tell you about the support on offer, such as personal tutors, peer support, and our support and wellbeing services – many of which will have a representative who you can speak to during the day.
Not only will you come away armed with information, you'll also take home some freebies. Depending on your chosen course and the campus event you attend, you can expect to collect a range of merchandise.
