Our events are the perfect way to learn more about your chosen course and student life. Whether it’s an on-campus event or an online activity, we encourage you to join us and start connecting with your future classmates. Visit us and discover why Sunderland is a great choice.

Events for offer holders and applicants

We’ll be hosting exclusive events for offer holders and applicants throughout the year. You’ll be invited to these events via email, so don’t forget to check your inbox. Upcoming events include:

Student Finance Explained (12 February 2026)

This event takes place 5pm-6pm.

Do you understand your options when it comes to funding your degree? Were you aware that there are additional loan options to help with the day-to-day life of being a full-time student? We'll help make everything clear during this online event. You'll also have the opportunity to ask questions relating to your individual situation.

This event is aimed at those starting level one of their full-time undergraduate degree in September 2026. There'll be another event specifically for Medicine students. If you've applied for Medicine, please keep an eye out for that event and refrain from booking onto this one.

Cost of Living (25 February 2026)

This event takes place 5pm-6pm.

Join us as we share some hints and tips that students use to help with the cost of living. From student discounts and bill loopholes to shopping and budgeting suggestions. If you're planning to live independently or stay at home, this session will have information that you’ll find useful.

This event is aimed at students starting any level of their full-time degree in September 2026.

Offer Holder Day (14 March 2026)

This event takes place 9am-3.30pm.

This exclusive event is open to those who have successfully received an offer at the University of Sunderland to start level one in September 2026. Take part in engaging sessions linked to the subject you’ve applied for. Speak to our range of internationally recognised support services and get an insight into what comes after your degree, and how our dedicated teams can help make you employable.

These events are invite-only for most subjects, though some courses that require interviews may not be represented. Please continue to check your emails and contact us if you have any questions at events.recruitment@sunderland.ac.uk.
