This course is taught in our multi-million pound Sciences Complex which features a brand new CPD suite for training health and pharmaceutical professionals, multi-disciplinary science labs and new facilities for proteomics, drug discovery, pharmacy, and health sciences. You can be assured of a quality experience in contemporary facilities.
The contact time for this course is five full days over a four-month period. When you complete the course you will receive a Certificate to show that you have gained 20 credits at Level 6. You may be able to transfer these credits to a diploma or degree course.
The course is taught alongside the level 7 module ‘Advancing Contraceptive Health’.
This course is delivered by University of Sunderland Clinical Sciences lecturers and a specialist in contraceptive and sexual health.
It is taught in five full days over a four-month period at the University of Sunderland. Each day uses a variety of teaching and learning methods including interactive workshops and will focus on a specific topic that you can then consolidate in clinical practice.
Assessment will be by a portfolio of practice outcomes and an Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE) utilising simulated patients in a variety of contraception and sexual health-based consultations.

We usually require applicants to be health care professionals. You should be working in a clinical setting where your work involves delivering contraceptive services.
The fee for this course is £750.
